University of Essex interpreting labA brand new interpreting lab with equipment to match the professional standard of that found in the European Commission, the United Nations and the Houses of Parliament, has opened at the University of Essex.

This will prove invaluable for businesses looking to reach international markets. For example Essex International, the international trade department at Essex County Council, is already working with the Department of Language and Linguistics at the University. • Hosting Chinese delegations
  • Hosting seminars for their training programmes for Chinese professionals

“Essex can now offer regionally unrivalled facilities in conjunction with the expertise of our language and linguistics staff and students. Indeed, a number of our students have already worked with organisations including Essex County Fire Service and Essex County Council via its links with Jiangsu province in China.”
